In a world where mythological creatures live in hiding amongst humans, a young boy named Albie discovers his grandfather, an albularyo, had a secret – the crystal amulet (Agimat) he used to wear is actually a powerful tool that allows him to transform, with each bead representing a different mythological creature of the Philippines. Albie’s grandfather was once the chosen one (Sugo), tasked with maintaining peace between the human world and the underworld (Mundong Ilalim). Albie is the child of prophecy who is set to take his grandfather’s place in saving the world. 

With his grandfather’s passing, all sorts of supernatural beings (Higlikas) have begun to threaten the world and Albie’s life as they attempt to stop the prophecy by destroying the amulet, led by the Agents of Sitan, Mangagauay (Pestilence), Manisilat (War), Mankukulam (Calamity), and Hukloban (Death) who plan to revive Sitan, the god of Mundong Ilalim, and unleash all of the Higlikas to conquer earth. 

Albie explores a rich mythological world hidden within our own, capturing the imagination of viewers and introducing them to the fascinating creatures and legends of the Philippines. It follows the journey of a young protagonist who grapples with his destiny and the weight of saving both the human world and the underworld, providing a compelling coming-of-age narrative.
